A case of multinucleate cell angiohistiocytoma with new reflectance confocal microscopy findings

HIGHLIGHTS

SUMMARY

Described in 1985 by Smith L.P., multinucleate cell angiohistiocytoma (MCAH) is a rare, peculiar, cutaneous entity considered to be a benign, vascular or fibrohistiocytic tumor. Histologically, the lesion is characterized by basket-woven orthokeratosis, a proliferation of dilated capillary dermal vessels, dense collagen in the upper dermis, superficial parallel fibrosis, histiocytes, stellate fibroblasts, and bizarre, angulated multinucleated cells ics 2022, 12, 1276 Diagnostics 2022, 12, 1276 Lesion Type rmatofibroma 2 of 7 2 of 6 cells (MCs).
