HIGHLIGHTS
- What: This study provides an example of the process used to develop an interactive step-by-step IPV CDS tool and how such a tool may be used to address IPV screening and intervention implementation barriers in a primary care clinic. The authors focus the IPV CDS tool on brief IPV interventions for the following reasons: 1) There is insufficient direct evidence that screening for IPV alone, without any response or intervention, can reduce IPV-related harms. This study had several limitations which point to areas of future research.
