- What: The notion of time in the framework of a turbine`s wake is irrelevant since the authors seek a steady-state solution, and the authors do not adopt Lagrangian approaches which rely on quantifying the time required for a particle to travel from the turbine to a specific distance downstream of the turbine. To show this, the authors examine the limiting cases of S when the length scale σ is small (close to the turbine) and when σ is large (far from the turbine). Although adopting engineering wake models in the near wake should be handled with caution . . .
