• What: The authors used a model approach to investigate whether monocytes might enter providing a possible explanation for the origin of CD68-positive osteoclast-like giant cells found in earlier works. for CD68 and staining was performed after the loading process. The aim of the experiment was to clarify the origin of CD68-positive (giant-)cells inside of microporous β-TCP ceramics that had been reported in earlier works .
