A model to predict the risk of adverse ocular outcomes in pregnant women

HIGHLIGHTS

  • What: The authors aim to identify the independent predictors of adverse ocular outcomes during pregnancy and develop a risk prediction model, which may enable earlier intervention in pregnant women who are at risk of adverse ocular outcomes. This study provides a novel way to evaluate and identify maternal eye conditions and to implement early interventions. Two predictive models were proposed in this study, for which the area under the ROC curve values were 0.75 and 0.74, illustrating that the models had reasonable accuracy and sensitivity. This study has several limitations that should be considered.
