To investigate the long-term response of testate amoeba communities to disturbances, the authors used existing palaeoecological data sets from two Sphagnum peatlands located in Poland: Linje13 and Puścizna Krauszowska (PK)36,37. Selected peat cores cover the last 2000 years, and possess TA community data and associated depth to water table (DWT) reconstructions, and macroscopic charcoal, plant macrofossil . . .
