    Lower lacunar density/volume would render low bone tissue porosity, causing bone tissue to have decreased toughness or energy absorbing ability thus compromising bone`s capability to arrest cracks, leaving it more prone to fracture (Qiu et_al, 2003; Heveran et_al, 2019; Misof et_al, 2019).
