SUMMARY
The prevalence of type 2 diabetes (T2DM) in adolescents and young adults is markedly increasing worldwide, particularly in the West Coast of the United_States and Southeast Asia. The subjects were classified into two groups based on early-adult HbA1c levels as follows: a low early-adult HbA1c group (≤ 5.4%) and a high early-adult HbA1c group (> 5.4%).
