TheVirtualBrain (TVB) is an open source software platform for large-scale network modeling (Sanz Leon et_al, 2013; SanzLeon et_al, 2015), where models can be personalized to an individual using a wide range of neuroimaging modalities. With data from aging and clinical populations, FreeSurfer tissue-class segmentations can also be inaccurate and may require manual intervention (McCarthy et_al, 2015; Henschel et_al, 2020; Srinivasan et_al, 2020), something that is not reasonably feasible with large samples.
