A simplified model to predict the repeated shear strain during the cyclic triaxial test by using an elastic coefficient-damping ratio system

  • What: Preliminary results of the research show that this model can further simulate the repeated strain obtained by cyclic triaxial tests without considering the variation of effective stress during cyclic loading. This paper attempts to develop a mathematical model using the mass-spring-damper system, discusses whether both the spring coefficient and damping coefficient are variables, and studies the values of various parameters of the system, including mass m, spring coefficient k, damping coefficient c, and external force Q0, calculated using Mathematica software.
