Thus, 3CL-Pros have a long history of adaptation to virus infection cycles in a wide range of hosts [ 32 , 53 ]. Plant viruses encoding 3CL-Pros include members of the families Secoviridae and Potyviridae [ 81 ] as well as a proposed new family of plant picornaviruses exemplified . . .
