SUMMARY

    Contemporary agriculture is characterized by a highly intensive nature and productivity. Abiotic stresses can significantly decrease plant growth and development, as well as negatively influence crop quality and productivity. For these reasons, new or effective low or no climate-impacting measures need to be considered and developed to maintain/increase crop production and the resilience of agricultural systems, while working to minimize the impact of abiotic stresses.
