Acceptance of assistive technology by users with motor disabilities due to spinal cord or acquired brain injuries:a systematic review

SUMMARY

    In this light, several theoretical models, including the technology acceptance model (TAM; ), the human activity assistive technology (HAAT; ), the matching person and technology model (MPT; ), and the Almere model -which orients the present review-have either investigated or explained the role of technology acceptance. The keywords were grouped in the following three areas: hardware: exoskeleton robot, assistive technology, assistive device, robot-assisted, assistive robot; technology acceptance: acceptance, tam, attitude; and_(3) clinical area: stroke, brain injury, brain lesion, spinal injury, spinal cord injury, paraplegic, quadriplegic. One hundred thirty-three participants had acquired diseases: 83 . . .
