Elephantgrass (Pennisetum purpureum Schumach.) is a warm-season grass species known for its elevated potential for biomass accumulation and forage productivity (Freitas et_al, 2017). Elephantgrass is generally planted via vegetative propagation, using stems, as many of the commercially available genotypes have weak seedling vigor (Pozitano and amp; Usberti, 2012; Iki, Ishii, Fukagawa, and amp;Idota, 2016).
