SUMMARY
While LGBTQ individuals are more than twice as likely as non-LGBTQ individuals to have a mental health disorder (The Trevor Project, 2022), substance use disorder, or die by suicide (Kann et_al, 2016; Ream, 2019), they experience greater difficulty in accessing needed mental health services (Schulman and amp; Erickson-Schroth, 2019; Williams et_al, 2018).
