- what: The aim was to retard the atrophy and replace diseased muscle with new healthy and functional muscle fibers by using myogenic stem_cells (Brunelli and Rovere-Querini, 2008). This trial did not demonstrate any improvement in muscle strength, but no side effects were assessed, except for hypersensitivity skin reactions.
