  • who: Pierrick Gouel from the Cologne University Hospital, Germany have published the paper: Advances in PET and MRI imaging of tumor hypoxia, in the Journal: (JOURNAL)
  • what: The aim of this review is to provide an update on tumor hypoxia imaging techniques. This work demonstrated for the first time that NMR techniques could distinguish healthy tissue from tumor tissue by measuring T1 and/or T2.
  • future: Almost all of the data are from studies in animal tumor models and further research in humans is needed . But further work to qualify this combined approach . . .
