SUMMARY
Most of the systematic reviews published on exercise in GDM have concentrated on exercise as a preventive measure to reduce the rate of GDM diagnosis. The aim of this systematic review was to update and consolidate the evidence on the effect of exercise modality on both glycaemic control and obstetric outcomes in patients with GDM. Two reviewers (NK and CC) performed a search to identify RCTs that studied the effect of exercise (aerobic/resistance/any exercise) on glycaemic control or obstetric outcomes in pregnancies affected by GDM.
