The World Cancer Research Fund (WCRF) examined the association between alcohol drinking and breast cancer based on existing literature, and concluded that there was strong evidence for a causal role of alcohol intake in postmenopausal breast cancer and probable evidence in premenopausal breast cancer, with an additional risk of 9% per 10 g/day increase in alcohol consumption.
