SUMMARY
It was pointed out that Mesozoic chimaeroid teeth are different from those of modern genera, hence, egg capsules with a morphology nearly identical to that of extant chimaeroids have apparently been produced by completely different genera (Jaekel, 1901; Fischer et_al, 2014; Duffin et_al, 2022). The second school favors a parataxonomic scheme of ichnogenera and ichnospecies, already in use . . .
