- What: This study analyzes the determination of areas for flights at which serve as temporary zones for aircraft during delays in departure or arrival. The contribution of this research lies in proposing a data-driven methodology for management that can be applied to airports facing similar challenges. The study at Halim Perdanakusuma Airport focused on optimizing holding areas by integrating weather radar and rainfall data to enhance operational safety and efficiency during adverse weather conditions.
