HIGHLIGHTS
- What: The aim of this work is to develop and evaluate novel approach to improve image fusion that takes into account the deformations combining electromagnetic (EM) and finite element modeling (FEM). This work proposes to combine the two above-mentioned methods, i.e., FEM and tracking technologies, to assess whether the EM sensor data can lower the uncertainties related to the FEM predictions in a patientspecific aneurysm model. The study was approved by the regional ethics committee (REK 2016/533) and a written informed consent was obtained.
