SUMMARY
The analysis of landscape from the phytosociological point of view is a valuable tool for its comprehensive study, including its dynamism and heritage value. The use of taxa and plant communities as indicators in land-use planning and their application in natural environment conservation policies is accepted in several countries, insofar as they are in themselves the object of such protection.
