- what: In contrast to Littlefield et_al , who found stronger evidence that personality predicted alcohol use than vice versa, this study found that sensation seeking showed bidirectional (transactional) paths, of similar strengths, from drinking to personality and from personality to alcohol use, and this for both binge drinking and volume of drinking.
