SUMMARY

    Epigenetic mechanisms regulate gene_expression independent of DNA sequence changes. Circulating nucleic_acid levels were found to be elevated in the plasma of AD patients, the plasma of a transgenic mouse model of AD, and in the culture medium of cells treated with amyloid-β raising interest in its potential as a source of AD biomarkers. With regard to transcriptomic studies and PM brain studies, AI analysis identifies candidate genes for AD. The authors found hypermethylation of this gene which is consistent with the down-regulation of gene_expression. Of the top 100 ‘biomarker` genes indicating neurological damage . . .
