    Telomere length is usually referred to as leukocyte telomere length (LTL), which reflects both telomere length in other tissues and the senescence status of immune-related cells within the circulatory immune system. Although the relationship between leukocyte telomere length and disease is complex, LTL has been proposed as a marker of biological age and is associated with a high risk of multiple age-related diseases: including cardiovascular disease and cancer. As high-quality observational studies, the authors lack large samples of RCTs to explore whether a causal effect is associated with LTL and AS . . .
