- what: The aims of this study were to evaluate the GERD and coronary atherosclerosis and to assess the risk factors for coronary atherosclerosis in GERD patients. In this study, coronary atherosclerosis was evaluated using the CACS. The study showed that GERD and a high CACS are not causal but are associated with both diseases.
