SUMMARY
Recent studies have shown the benefits of physical activity for the well-being of people with cancer, demonstrating the usefulness of greater physical activity levels (PAL) and a physical activity index (PAI) as both prevention and therapy for mental illness. The mean scores found in mental health showed that the higher the PAL, the lower the score obtained in the GHQ-12 in people with tumours, which means that increased physical activity translates into better mental health, although the results showed a weak inverse correlation between both variables (r=-0.274).
