SUMMARY
Carbon dioxide is asphyxiant and odorless, making it extremely insidious (it is called "the silent killer"). Preliminary evaluation of CO2 effects in human populations suggests that acute exposure to 3% CO2 concentrations, and prolonged exposure to concentrations > 1%, may significantly affect health in the general population. Spot and near-real-time meteorological and carbon_dioxide concentration data, inside and outside the caves, have been collected since 2000. This work presents the complete dataset of CO2 concentrations (and related side meteorological parameters) collected in the three caves, merging previously published data with new original information.
