- What: The aims of this trial were to assess the following in the three different programmes and the standard care group: 1. The trial had a pragmatic design and aimed to recruit 15 participants to each of the four groups following previously published rule of thumb recommendations for feasibility studies . The trial physiotherapist advised patients to undertake progressive 12-week upper body/arm exercise programme aimed to improve mobility and strength of the affected arm, shoulder, thoracic and cervical spine. The diet and behaviour change educational component was based on the trans-theoretical model of behaviour change . . .
