  • What: The authors show how a simple improvement to the randomization procedure for experiments Thanks to Lawrence Barsalou and Christoph Scheepers for comments on an early draft of this manuscript, and to the members of the Methods and Metascience journal club at the University of Glasgow for general feedback on the project. Given the study may be completed (or terminated) unexpectedly, there is motivation to preserve balance among the number of patients across treatment arms as they are enrolled. In contrast, the approach is intended to deal with measurements that are assumed to be fluctuating in time . . .
