Comparing homochiral and heterochiral fluorogenic caspase substrates, the authors show that in contrast to the positive control substrate (Ac-DEVD-AMC), Caspase-3 was unable to cleave probes containing D-, iso-L-, or iso-D-aspartyl-residues . . .
