SUMMARY

    Demandside challenges include timeliness of vaccination (with less than 84% timely vaccination of first dose for most childhood vaccinations) and increasing hesitancy and refusals particularly evident amongst urban parents. Globally, the importance of health workers` recommendations for parents making childhood vaccination decisions is well documented; however, the evidence relates predominantly to those with a remit for vaccination namely paediatricians, general practitioners, nurses and community health workers.
