  • What: The 15kg crucibles used in the experiments are only slightly larger than those that so far can be proven to have been available in the 12th century. composition of most copper alloys and was used successfully with brass, bronze, and red brass, both leaded and unleaded. The experiments propose a fully working method to cast early bells, which has since resulted in two church bells being used on a daily basis.
