SUMMARY
Mycobacterium haemophilum, a ubiquitous organism, was first isolated in 1978 from subcutaneous lesions of a patient with Hodgkin`s disease. In recent years, infections with M. haemophilum have been subsequently reported in healthy children with lymphadenitis and immunocompromised patients that had undergone organ transplantation or presented with lymphoma, acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS), rheumatoid arthritis, marrow hypoplasia, and Crohn`s . . .
