SUMMARY
Residual and recurrent tricuspid regurgitation may occur in 14-30% of patients early after undergoing surgery for all types of tricuspid annuloplasty. The low rate of reoperation may be partly due to the fact that reoperation to repair or replace the regurgitant tricuspid valve is a high-risk procedure in high-risk patients.
