- what: The authors could not detect any degradation product of protein R2 in the experiments described in Fig 8 using one antibody recognizing the N-terminal part of the protein (I-15). This work reports for the first time the existence of a caspase-mediated proteolytic regulation of p53R2, releasing the C-terminal extremity involved in R1 recognition.
