- who: Alain Regnier et al. from the (UNIVERSITY) have published the paper: Clinical, electroretinographic and histomorphometric evaluation of the retina in sheep with natural scrapie, in the Journal: (JOURNAL)
- what: In the current study, PrPSc accumulation was identified in all the scrapie retinas, and its localization within the retinal layers was in agreement with previous observations in sheep naturally and experimentally infected with scrapie.
- how: This result is somewhat surprising in light of the morphological lesions but a similar situation has been observed in mice with experimental scrapie .
