HIGHLIGHTS
- What: The aim of this study was to determine how often subspecialty providers provided counseling, furthered an evaluation, prescribed a change in therapy, or interpreted the ABPM and noted to make no changes for patients who had confirmed hypertension on ABPM. For this study, a secondary review of participant charts was conducted to identify additional electronic medical record (EMR) encounters (telephone notes, nursing notes, portal messages) entered within 2 weeks of the ABPM that documented a physician response to the ABPM, not otherwise captured in the formal clinic note.
