• what: The authors compare this to the approach in the following section. In Fig 7 the authors compare the temperature power spectrum (scaled by Gµ in the upper subplot and normalised at ℓ=10) to that of CMBACT4 , NambuGoto simulations , and Abelian-Higgs simulations . In Fig 12 the authors show the constraints when using the direct calculation method, where the string spectra are calculated at every step in the Markov chain.
