Color reared inland using biofloc technology

• who: Penaeidae shrimp and collaborators from the Aquaculture Laboratory LAQUA (mariculture sector), Universidade Federal Minas Gerais, Brazil have published the Article: Color Reared Inland Using Biofloc Technology, in the Journal: (JOURNAL)
• what: The inclusion of pigment in the diet was more efficient in coloring the shrimp than the primary production (algae) present in the biofloc.
• how: The experiment was conducted in sixteen raceways lined with a non-toxic PVC blanket with an internal weft of 100 m3 with central partition and rounded ends measuring 5 m wide and 20 m long.
