SUMMARY
Recent technological developments in molecular genetics have made it possible to quantify genetic diversity at the DNA level by creating different molecular markers. In contrary to the results of this study, all other studies exhibited a high level of genetic variability within populations using ISSRs (75.4%) for local Greek faba bean populations, SSRs (90%) for faba bean accessions from Turkey, Sweden, Australia, Finland and Egypt and RAPDs (94%) for Tunisian populations.
