    The mechanism of action of RF fields on neural_networks has remained elusive. The authors have aimed to contribute to the understanding of the mechanisms of action behind the inhibitory effects of RF fields on cultured cortical neural_networks by performing a direct comparison with the inhibitory effects of the GABAA receptor agonist, muscimol (MU). This comparative approach allowed the authors to identify similarities and differences between these two forms of inhibition and to employ them as a basis for unravelling a potential mechanism of action of the inhibitory effect of RF fields on cultured neural_networks . . .
