HIGHLIGHTS
- What: The authors are comparing higher and lower doses of pregabalin with a control group to determine whether a low dose is adequate to suppress the occurrence of SCh-induced fasciculations and myalgia or if a higher dose is required. The authors assessed any significant sedation caused by pregabalin, using the Ramsay sedation score. The study showed that both the incidence and severity of fasciculations and myalgia were reduced with pregabalin 150 mg, and the first onset of the analgesic requirement was delayed in the postoperative period.
