    The School for Public Health Research (SPHR), a partnership of eight leading centres of academic public health research excellence across England, identified the need for additional research in public mental health. Despite the growing recognition that mental health is central to public health strategies, there remain important gaps of high-quality evidence to underpin public mental health policies and interventions.
