  • What: The aim of this study was to examine the intake of energy and select nutrients from beef-containing sandwiches categorized as burgers (with subcategories of hamburgers and cheeseburgers) and non-burger sandwiches, and to estimate percentage contributions to total nutrient intakes from sandwiches and the beef and non-beef components. In this analysis, beef sandwiches were identified as food codes for beef-containing sandwiches reported in the dietary recalls, or as reported intakes of sandwich combinations that contained beef.
