- What: This study shows a substantial and sustained increase in with potentially serious injuries. The considerable part of major injuries concerning the head, elbow, and hand found in this study show similarities with current literature, describing the before-mentioned anatomical regions as vulnerable in e-scooter associated accident . Demographic results of this study show patients being predominantly male, with a mean age well below 40 years. Proportions of work and leisure accidents mentioned in the study demonstrate the use of e-scooters as an alternative form of transport to and from work.
