HIGHLIGHTS
- What: This study shows elevated levels of liver function enzymes (AST, ALT, GGT) as compared to control groups this agrees with Xie, Ruijie, and Mingjiang Liu and Fontes-Cal and Tereza who reported AST, ALT, and GGT values in liver enzyme tests were considerably higher in NAFL and NASH patients than in the control group. Compared to healthy individuals, the patient group in this study showed abnormally high liver enzyme and lipid profiles and significantly lower HDL.
