    CBG concentrations and mortality risk after LPS were rescued by the restoration of CBG synthesis using adeno-associated virus serotype 8 (AAV8) CBG gene transfection in these KLF15-/- mice, highlighting the importance of CBG in surviving systemic inflammation. Under basal conditions, 80% of all cortisol in the circulation is bound to CBG, 15% to low affinity albumin, and the remaining 5% is unbound as biologically . . .
