    Interestingly, atrial fibrillation (AF) and COVID-19 infection appear to share some pathophysiological features, both being driven by an immune_response, with inflammatory markers, such as C-reactive protein and cytokine interleukin (IL)-6, correlating with disease severity and mortality.
